The next NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway is the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, broadcast on NBC.

Daytona International Speedway opened in February 1959 and has hosted every Daytona 500 since. The 2.5-mile tri-oval was built by NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. as the sport's answer to the Indianapolis 500, a high-banked superspeedway where stock cars could run at speeds previously unseen on closed circuits. Daytona's 31-degree turn banking and broad tri-oval frontstretch produce drafting-style pack racing where the lead can change dozens of times per lap, and the closing stages of any Daytona race regularly produce dramatic last-lap passes and multi-car wrecks. Beyond the Cup Series, Daytona hosts the Rolex 24 sports-car endurance race, the Daytona Supercross, and the Daytona 200 motorcycle race. The track has been continuously expanded and modernized since 1959.
Lake Lloyd in the infield was created during track construction. The earth excavated from the lake bed was used to build the banked turns.
