These are the current 2026 NASCAR Cup Series driver standings, sorted by championship points earned across every points race so far this season. Stage points, race-finish points, and the new 55-point race-winner bonus all feed the rank you see here. Exhibition events like the All-Star Race do not count. NASCAR returned to The Chase format in 2026 — the "win-and-in" rule that gave any regular-season race winner an automatic playoff spot is gone. The top 16 drivers in points after the 26-race regular season qualify for The Chase, full stop. The playoff cutoff line above is the points total of the 16th-ranked driver — watch the gap to track who's in, who's on the bubble, and who's chasing it. The Chase itself runs the final 10 races; whoever has the most points after the season finale is the Cup Series champion.
