John Hunter Nemechek is an American NASCAR Cup Series driver competing for Legacy Motor Club in the No. 42 Toyota. The son of former Cup driver Joe Nemechek, he made his Cup Series debut in 2018 in part-time entries before competing full-time in Cup with Front Row Motorsports in 2020. After returning to lower NASCAR series, where he won the 2023 Xfinity Series regular-season title and contended for the championship, Nemechek rejoined the Cup Series full-time in 2024 with Legacy Motor Club. He came up through the NASCAR Truck Series with his father's NEMCO Motorsports team.
