About Nashville Superspeedway
Nashville Superspeedway opened in 2001 as a 1.33-mile concrete oval in Lebanon, Tennessee, and originally hosted Xfinity, Truck, and IndyCar racing in the 2000s before going dormant in 2011. The track was sold, refurbished, and brought back online in 2021 when NASCAR awarded it a Cup Series date as part of the sport's return to the Nashville market. Nashville's concrete racing surface is one of only two in the Cup Series and is uniquely slick at the 1.33-mile length, producing significant tire fall-off and rewarding patient tire management. The Cracker Barrel 400 has run there each summer since 2021. Nashville's combination of country music city marketing, sponsor visibility, and competitive racing has made it one of NASCAR's most-watched newer venues.
Nashville Superspeedway sat completely dormant from 2011 to 2020 before being reactivated for Cup competition in 2021. The grass and weeds in the infield had grown so tall by 2020 that crews had to fully recondition the entire facility before reopening.
